Default Money and parts thrown away. Need help please!!!

I've been having issues with my tranny for the better part of the past year. Initially, the problem would occur when trying to get the car into 4th gear when racing. Eventually, the transmission became extremely difficult to get into most gears with reverse becoming the most difficult.

I had the transmission completely rebuilt. That didn't take care of the problem. I had a new Mcleod clutch installed along with a new throw-out bearing and a resurfaced flywheel. That didn't fix it. We tried a different transmission altogether and that had the same issues.

We were thinking it was maybe a hydraulic issue so I then had the Mcleod adjustable mc replaced with the Tick unit. No dice, still wasn't fixed. We then installed another clutch, this time with a new flywheel. It shifted great on the street but on the very first pass at the track, it wouldn't go into 4th.

Now, it is difficult getting it to go into any gear. When the car is off, the transmission shifts fine.

What else am I missing. Need help/advice on this matter.

Thanks in advance.

^^^^^ x2

Also with the hydraulics you have to bleed/bleed/bleed, and it's not out of the question that your new slave was DOA or damaged during install. I have a Motive Power bleeder that should take all question out of bleeding, but otherwise you'll have to read the thousands of posts here on the "joys" of bleeding the LS1 hydraulics..

I don't think the slave cylinder was shimmed.

The system has been bled several times.

This is why I am not a fan of the hydraulic systems in these cars. You probably need to put a shim behind the slave to bring it closer to the pressure plate fingers a slight amount.
