Charles Pelley Ripped me off
I ordered a Hypertech Programmer from Charles Pelley, also pelleyman@aol.com and ilikelax34@aol.com, on November 6th. When it came in, I tried it out and it had a locked VIN#. I emailed him about it and he said that he had replaced it to stock to get a new tune and he would try to get warranty to fix the problem. I didn't hear from him for about a month, and now he hasn't answered any of the 7 or 8 emails that I have sent him, not even to say he ripped me off or anything. I'm not sure what his name on this forum is anymore, but he ripped off $160 for this thing and its a paperweight now.

I would say he ripped you off! The ding-dong forgot to put his car back to stock with the programmer.
He needs to respond to your e-mails and get off of his lazy a$$ and get it fixed!
Sorry, I just hate people that try to pull a fast one on other people! or don't try to back up their merchandise.
I would flood his e-mail and make postings to see of anyone else knows this guy.
He should refund your money or get the thing fixed!

This should stand as a warning to anybody that is thinking of selling thier Hypertech units.
YOU MUST RETURN THE UNIT BACK TO STOCK--COMPLETLY
Otherwise you have a headache on your hands of a pissed customer, and have to deal with taking the unit back, and re-setting it. Plus all the shipping involved, which of course is 100% your responsibility.
Cmon man, make this thing right. Nobody wants to have a reputation for screwing a guy. Get'r done!
