O2 sensor question
I took my 04 GTO powered volvo for a first ride today.
Pretty exciting after a year on and off to go down the road.
The roads are so frost heaved I couldn't go very fast, but seems to run ok and no vibrations.
After my short drive I had it in the driveway, with just the front pipes and some header cats. It started making an irregular pop on the left side, and when I looked under the car the left cat was super hot, and almost an orange exhaust look. I shut it off and restarted it later and didn't repeat, but I also didn't have the popping.
I know the O2 sensor was a little crushed on that side from the accident the donor was in, and I'm thinking it may be bad.
I have the rear sensor, which I'm not using. They're on a different connector, and look a little different.
Question is, can I just change the connector and use a rear sensor as a front sensor? both are four wires...
