Default L92 street engine,66 chevyII

Thinking about an l92 with a t56 3.73 or 3.55 gears in my 66 chevyII.Mostly fun street driver with occasonal pass on test and tune fri.nights.Thinking stock bottom with aftermarket cam.Put in aftermarket valves and springs, deck heads to bring up compression a little.Ls3 or l76 intake. How much rwhp.can I expect with this setup with good street cam and headers.Any changes or additions anyone would suggest?Ought to be a fun ride,I would be surprised if this weighed much over 2700lbs.

I am planing the same thing except with a 2nd gen Camaro. I have been researching a lot on here and it looks like 450+rwhp is achievable with a 6.0L, L92s, LS3 intake, and a streetable cam. It seems you have to be careful how much you deck the heads because it can limit the amount of lift you can run on the cam. Hopefully some others will chime in and give us some more info

A few guys have broken 500rwp on stock bottom stock head cars.. The cam is the key so have Pat G or or maybe Geoff at EPS spec you one. Those motors are finicky about cams...

yep, with that big intake valve you need to keep reversion/overlap in check.
although with the light weight of your car you can trade a little low end TQ for top end,i would still go on the conservetive side with cam selection.bigger isn't always better, especially with L92s..

I am most of the way there:

67 Nova Wagon
T56
9" rear with 4.30s
LQ4 short block, LS3 heads, 1-7/8" headers, LS3 intake
Should weigh around 3100lb when done
