Default What did I do wrong?

I changed my plugs and wires several weeks ago and I am still not sure what is up. Long story short, I used ngk tr5ix plugs gapped @ .040-.042 and my second set of wires are a standard set from oreillys. I had trouble with the plugs vibrating lose already, but I went back through and re-set each one. Now car runs ok and I have been driving, but just doesn't seem to have as much power and at times I swear it's going to start idling too low. Could the gap be too narrow, did I still not get them tight enough (I doubt), or anything else. I am really pissed that I didn't IMPROVE the cars performance.

I only have a catback and air lid. All else bone stock. I searched on here for a while and found the ngks to be favorite and thought the iridium would be a good upgrade. I also found that the gap people use varied greatly, and even oreillys had a few different specs.

too cold of plug for your application? drop down to tr55 or just tr5's and see if that helps.

test your old wires and maybe reinstall if they flow better then your new wires.

Maybe,

The plugs seem fine, just a NGK iridium.
