I just bought a 1994 formula, I also have a 1994 firebird with a v6. The formula did not come with an owners manual or any information. It came only with an ignition key and door and hatch key. The door key was a copy and would not work. Since I had both of the original fobs for my other firebird I tried to program one to the formula...No luck. I called the dealership and had them check the VIN to make sure that it came with remote door locks...It did. They had me bring the car in and after $122.04 they stamped me a key but said that even though the VIN says that it came with a remote key, they said it did not and that there wasn't even a harness for it. I have had problems with this dealership before on knowledge and experience so I was wondering if anyone else has ever encountered this problem and what they did to solve it. I would really like a remote key for this car. Thanks

The dealership may be right this time. I owned a '96 Formula (bought it new) and it did NOT have a remote that I recall. Probably just an option back then.

I agree with it only being an option as well. My '95 'bird doesn't have key fobs either.
