Default What is this noise? Vid inside

Took a trip to the store today and noticed a funny sound coming from the center console area. Sounds like something is barely dragging on the ground but there isnt anything visible from underneath. I made two vids of it. one is at idle while sitting at a stoplight and the other is driving through the neighborhood. Any ideas on what this could be? BTW the car is a M6 and still shifts fine.

maybe exhaust rattling on something.. very lightly though...

Catalytic converter that had gotten broken inside and rattling around, that would be my 2nd bet???

I hope its not a cat as they only have maybe 5k miles on them. Maybe the passenger side LT is hitting something caused by bad motor mounts? if so where do the normally bang so i can check the clearances in that area?

I had a catalytic converter take a dump on me on one of my old cars, and it kinda sounded like that.

I can't see the videos at work. I do see that you have a Corsa cat-back. They are known for the mufflers falling apart on the inside. Is it possible that the noise is from that?

@crash. I just checked the link and it worked fine with firefox 4. This is the first I have heard about the Corsa mufflers falling apart. I'll see if I can get Google to help me do some research on it.

Definitely an exhaust rattle. I could bet it's either on the rear end somewhere on the top part of what goes over the axle or on the brace under the Y pipe

Today when I started the car the sound was much louder and eventually settled down after the car got warm. I guess its a broken cat.

The video link is fine. My work just won't allow us to watch videos from photobucket. My Corsa took a little adjusting on the over the axel pipe. It kept touching the body unit I got it in the correct position.

You can check the cats by lightly hitting them, if there bad you'll hear rattling from whats left of the honeycomb inside.
