Will possibly be going to Bartow, FL for a few days next month. I have never been to that area of Florida. I will be in a courtroom for probably a few hours a day, then back to my hotel. Would like to find a few good restraunts, or maybe something to do to kill the time while I am there. I will have a rental car, so can drive a bit to get to the good stuff. Supposedly I am getting per diem, so hopefully that will cover more than a big mac and fries.

is it a decent place? From what I read online its the greatest place if you are old and like azaleas...

The lawyers that are fronting my expenses put me up in the Stays Inn on N. Broadway, looks like a dump.

In these parts, Bartow is kind of the sticks. I can't remember if its before or after all of the chemical plants and phosphate pits.

there are some good food joints in bartow.in down town you have silver ring down town,and fred's market is a really good southern buffett
