Default Just started new engine...changing JUST the filter after intial warm up?

Im about to break my engine in tomorrow and originally I wanted to start the car up, let it warm up, then change the oil..but the more I think about it (and the fact that I have break in additive in the oil) Figure ill change the filter, make a few pulls to help seat the rings, then after about 20 miles change the oil and filter again until the 500m mark. Would changing JUST the filter make a difference at all or should I change it all?

Everyone breaks their motors in differently. But your idea sounds fine to me. I would cut the used filter open and check for metal shavings. Good luck!

Check the normal things. But for just a 15$ filter I would give myself some assurance by cutting it open. After all you will have that in the back of your mind if you don't.
