Electric fan SES help?

Electric fan SES help?
I am running a aftermarket rad with 1 fan right now. I get ses codes for fan 1 and fan 2. From what I understand there are two wires that control relays that I need to do something with. I have them marked just cant remember what ones they are off hand. Is it true that they also control a fan or fans inside the alternator? What do I need to do to fool the computer so my ses light goes out. Do I need a specific resistance between them and ground? Can any one help out a little?

In HP Tuners, the fan controls are located in System>Fans>Fan Type. You (or your tuner) can select the configuration or disable the fans here.
If you're getting the fan relay SES codes, you can also turn off the codes in Engine Diagnostics>DTCs>P0480/P0481>SES code (uncheck) and Error Mode (option 3).

are SES codes different than CEL codes?
I wasn't planning on using the engine PCM to control the fans, I was going to use the car PCM to run the fans.
Why?
I ended w/two sensors in the engine, one for each PCM. The volvo temp sensor and PCM will run the instrument panel gage and the fans.
I didn't have the fans tuned out of the LS PCM, and don't want anythig that screws up getting the car inspected.

I have my electric fans hooked up to the first fan on setting wire. I do not want to have a low temp and high temp setting just one that comes on for when the temp reaches the lower of the two settings (190 or so?) So I am down to one SES code for the second on setting think it is P481. How can I get that code to not come up without having someone delete it from the ecm? Every thing is functioning fine I jut get my SES light on for this stupid fan setting?
