Default 20 psi fuel pressure during normal driving

ok.. i searched around a bit and couldnt come up with anything similar

I have a walbro pump with hotwire kit. braided line to the front with a magna fuel regulator. stock line as a return. FAST fuel rails.

My pressure when driving has been around 40 recently and now dropped all the way to 20.. the car started cutting out really bad..

I changed pumps.. still not good..
took the regulator apart and nothing clogging it..
changed fuel filter.

nothing has worked so far

Is there a way to test the regulator to see if its the problem? next step i guess is to check all the wiring and relay..

Any other idea's?

Plug the return line & see if pressure goes high. If so the regulator is bad.

If it will not build pressure with the regulator plugged, something else is at fault.

thanks! I was wondering about that but i didnt know if it would hurt anything.. will it be ok to drive it a couple of miles and see if its working out.

i just checked the voltage at the pump via the door I cut and its holding 14V there.. I assume thats not the problem then.. Started to feel pretty sure it its the regulator..

From taking apart the regulator i didnt see much besides the diaphram thing that looked like it could go bad. Is that normally what does out?

You don't have to drive it w/ the return blocked. Turning the pump on will suffice....
