Default Do angled heater outlets exist?

I'm doing the finishing touches on my LS3 swap and I'm wondering if anyone has angled heater outlets?

Here is a picture of my problem.

It turns out if you knock out the metal tubes the holes are the perfect size to NPT tap. A lot of C3 corvette conversions do this.

Gary's 68 has drilled and tapped the water outlets on his Corvette for that very reason. The only way I have seen or heard of what you need is by doing the same. I'm not aware of a standard water pump that has the ports relocated like you need.

**Look at the time stamps... hahahaha!!! Quick draw McGary!!!

might be able to press in new tubes, but i think tapping for a fitting is your best bet

Default Heater

You can pull the original heater nipples out as they are a press fit and then tap the water pump with a 3/8 & 1/2 NPT tap then you will have a wide variety of angled heater hose nipples to choose from. Street & Performance sells some nifty ones that can be screwed in and can swivel in any direction that you like.

all the big heater hose companies make the heater hoses in the standard dimensions in a big L shape - you get ~3" and then a nice 90 and then 12-48" of tube, trim down the short piece and you get a nice 90 degree rubber fitting without drilling/tapping or the expense of AN/NPT fittings. I used two sizes for the heater hoses that run to my heater box on the firewall for my swap.
