obd1, lt1, a4->th400 swap - PCM questions I read the stickies and searched.
hoping for a more detailed answer.
Street car.
I take a tuned 4L60E in my 95 LT1 / OBD1 car and installing a forward shifting vacuum modulated TH400.
I read:
the convertor will fit, the A4 shifter will work b/c I have forward shifting valve body, my TH400 has VSS so my speedo/cruise should work.
What happens when I just leave my trans/PCM wiring unplugged?
the stickies say "it will run" - but will the engine get all the info it needs to run right?
I assume the trans won't care as it has a vacuum modulator and spring governor to upshift/downshift with.
Can I really just drive away - no issues - just the "SES" light will be filled with trans codes?
