Gen 5 Camaro Internal Engine Tech - Oil filter ???

I posted this question in the gen4 engine forum but have not had any responses so I thought I would try my luck here. Has anyone found a larger filter that will work with our applications? I actually have a G8, but a quick search revealed the Gen 5 Camaros use the same filter (as well as the late model trucks). So, does anybody have any ideas?

Yea the factory one is a PF48.... I don't believe there is an oil filter that is taller with the same thread/gasket size. Is there any reason you need one? A taller one may sit lower than the oil pan which could spell disaster if you stradle any large objects while driving.

There are quite a few things lower than the filter. I could go about 1/2 inch taller before being even with the bottom of the pan and again there are lost of things lower than that.
