Default no start, and i cant think of why

well i was out driving around today and i noticed my voltage dropping just like when my alternator went out a couple weeks ago. i pulled into autozone to get it checked since it is under a lifetime warranty. i go in come back out and it slowly cranks and idles under 500rpm and rough as hell and dies when i try to bring the rpm's up. then i try to crank it again and nothing not even a sputter.

so i take the battery out get a quick charge on it while im there and it checked good put it back in the car, same thing. i then sprayed some starting fluid into the intake to see if it would fire and it did, then died. so im thinking something with fuel? so now im trying to figure out why it would run right when i pulled it in then all the sudden nothing. any ideas?

i havent tore into it yet i just want to brainstorm some ideas on what to check.

Low voltage from a bad alternator is probably causing your issues?
