Hello all,
I have a 2001 LS1 and my motor seized up. I want to get a 5.3 iron block and basically switch everything over from the LS1.(Intake,Heads and whatever else). My question is can this be done and could I still use my same pcm and wiring harness from the LS1 onto the 5.3.
The car is a Grand National so everything was transplanted into it.

Yes you can for 99-06 truck engines of any size, 4.8/5.3/6.0

You need to drill/tap one boss for the Fbody alt bracket to bolt up but everything else is a direct swap

Don't forget about the compression lose by changing to LS heads on a 5.3
