Default Which heads for ls2 vette? ported ls2s, ls3 conversion or aftermarket?

My car has a 232/234 cam, OBX longtubes, fast 102 and vararam.
It made 435/415. I cant find any decent used ported ls2/243 heads and
I cant see spending 1500-1700 on ls2 heads when i could do a ls3 conversion
for the same price or aftermarket heads for a little more. Does anyone know of a budget ls2 porter or should i just do the ls3 or aftermarket heads?

If you can afford to go aftermarket then that is what I would do.

i think you should go with AFR 230v2's because thats what im thinking about but i wanna see more people with them first...lol and your setup is roughly what i want with a little different cam...

The AFR 230 V2 heads are going to be 20-30 rwhp better than a stock LS3 head on a 4" bore with a cam like yours. I've tested them and the gains are real. Same could be said for a TEA/Trick Flow 225/235 heads. The cathedral port heads just flat work better on a small bore. The LS3 heads put the intake valve right next to the cylinder wall. This is why they don't work as well on a 4.00" bore as they do on a 4.065" and larger bore. Too much shrouding.

I would think that a AFR 230v2 head, a ported L92 head by TEA, ported LS3 head by Ligenfelter, or a 11 degree cathedral port LS2 Mast head would be too large a head for a NA 364 because of their huge cfm flow numbers.

You would lose bottom end tq down low, 60ft and up in the 1/16 mile. How about a fully cnc'd ported 243 head on a stock NA LS2?
