Should I be concerned with my charging system? The gauge is reading below 13 volts. It does that when it warms up. When its cold it is like 14 or more volts.

I haven't tried that but that is with the AC on. But I was on the interstate going like 75. I will try that. Does it really pull that much. I was just checking my gauges while traveling an seen that it was low and got a little concerned. Can it charge properly with that low of voltage?

My other ls1 that I used to have never got near 13 that's why I wigged. Its just getting hot down here and I noticed when it is around 190 degrees it is like that. Checked tonight with lighting and stuff everything okay nothing dimming or anything. I guess either I didn't pay attention to it last year or the alternator may be going down hill as they often do on these cars. Gonna hate that job.

that isn't too teriible, but if its hovering near the red zone it could point to a failing alternator. i know this first hand as my alternator crapped out last weekend. luckily it was one i bought at AZ with a lifetime warrenty about 5 years ago.
