Default Texas giant cam in a 438?

Is a Texas giant (248/254 114+2) too small for a 438 CID LSX? Running ETP 245 heads.

At that level you are shooting yourself in the foot not getting a custom cam from people like Mark at Bullet Racing Cams or Ed Curtis at Flowtech Induction. And yes I think that cam is too small for your engine.

^^^What he said. If you have spent this much money why would you skimp out on a shelf grind? In actuallity a custom grind doesn't cost more than a shelf grind so it makes even more sense to get a custom to take full advantage of the potential of your engine.
