Electric fan programming on truck ecm?

Electric fan programming on truck ecm? Hey guys,I have some searching here and i think i know the answer but thought i would double check. I am using a 5.3 truck motor( not sure the prefix?) and I am going to be running electric fans,can my factory ecm be reprogrammed to run these fans or do I have to get a standalone fan controller? The motor is a 2001.

You have to activate the fans in the tune as well.
