starting car with EVAP solenoid unplugged?

starting car with EVAP solenoid unplugged? I have a high idle, p0507. I've tried EVERYTHING.
The only thing I haven't looked into is the EVAP system. If I unplug the solenoid what will happen when I start the car? Will I be able to rule it out if it acts a certain way or is it a bad idea?
