Ls6 swap?
I found a ls6 motor and was wondering if i can do a direct swap or is it even worth it and what all would i need? Compatible with stock ls1 wiring harness ecm etc?? Heres the listing...
I have newer ls6 block 2001 to 2002 with 241 cast heads that had 56,000 miles on it when cam out of car.it was taken to baskos machine shop in gilbert for a spun bearing.I had block line bored, crank, turned 10 under and bought 10 under bearing and new cam bearings. What im selling is the alluminum block, complete 241 head, rods, pistons, all the bearinfs that are new,and a fresh crank for $1000

No a 454 will not bolt into these cars unless of course your talking about an ls based 454 which can only be custom built or gotten from gmpp. That ad is for an ls1 btw some 01-02 cars came with an ls6 block but still had ls heads and cam. The 241 heads in that listing tell you its an ls1 motor not ls6 ls6 heads are numbered 243 or 799

Thanks i didnt know that. If he didnt have the heads listed, would there be another way to tell? And ive seen people selling their 5.3 truck intakes on here...is there an advantage to having an intake off a truck or something or is it not related and they are just selling it
