Default Head Bolts

I'm putting a pair of 799 heads on my 1998 LS1, which head bolts do i need to buy? I see ARP has 98-03 and 04-up.

It's the blocks that are different, going by your '98 block (if it is indeed original), use the early set.

You'll need the early, "long and short" bolts. However, if you are looking at ARP, they are on back-order from ARP currently. They have been hard to find for a month or so now. If you find someone with them on the shelf you better jump on them!
