Default 3" exhaust piping

If i weld on hooker aerochamber muffler onto my 02 ws6 will i make a little more power if i do 2.75" or 3" pipi.g on the utlet pipes? The reason i ask is becaus my exhaust guy is charging me the same price for 2.5-3" piping

Not likely any power gained. There should not be an exhaust restriction there. If you look under the car after the cats where the exhaust pipes look squished that is the major restriction in the stock exhaust system besides the manifolds and cats. In the exhaust for flow its always best to work from the front to the back to free up flow because the exhaust wont flow better if the back is improved without the front.

Well i already have lt's with an ory, thing is i have a slp lm exhust and its way to freakin loud, and im debating wether i should go with a hooker aerochamber exhaust or a slp dual dual my friend took off his slp ss
