Default Pick tube and oil pan ??

I'm in the processing of installing my oil pan on my AES 390, but since its got arp bolts and nuts my pick tube is going to hang lower to the bottom of the oil pan. I also placed one washer between the ARP nut so the rods bolts wont hit the windage tray as it turns. My question is how much clearance do you need between the bottom of the pick tube and the oil pan? I only want to do it once but I'm not sure if a little less than half an inch (which I have) will keep it from cavatating. Any help greatly appreciated.
