Default 99 ws6 rearend how much power can it handle

i have a 99 ws6 stock rear end how much power can it handle any advice

all depends on the car, monday or friday car. Deffinetly one of the weaker links to the vehicles.

I had an LS1 that put out 485 RWHP, it snapped my drive shaft in half, but it never destroyed the rear end, I did take it easy on the rear as much as i could though.
I blew the LS1 up and swapped in a 416 stroker LS3 and the rear end was done immediately after i broke the engine in, I blew the Dif into many little pieces.
My advice and I'm sure others will concur, is don't spend a dime "upgrading" your stock rear, save that money for when the time comes that you need a 9", 12 bolt, or S60.
It's really a coin toss, autos are easier on the rear than manuals, if your running drag radials or regular tires, gear ratio, power level, and how you drive it. There is no set horsepower number when the old 10 bolt is gonna commit suicide.

its a stock auto car. planning on doing some mods but thanks for info guess ill deal with it when time comes to breaking it haha.

Auto cars can get deep in the 11s with a 10 bolt.
