So im in the middle of putting my engine back together and installed the efi 24x conversion, can't wait haha.

I have a couple questions about the cam sensor/clearance.

Here are 2 pictures and im wondering if i should be worried about the cam sensor picking up the dowel as a signal? I can get better pics if need be, or measurements even.

Mine actually rubbed the sensor housing. Knock it back as far as it will go.

As long as the dowell does not extend beyond the low area of the cam reluctor, I see no way the sensor will pick up on it.

Wish i could help you but i installed a 24x system on my 89 l98 vett so i dident have to worry about that. If it was my car i think i would clearance it back as far as you could just in case. Did you try and get a hold of mike at efi connection yet about it? You will love the 24x system 4 sure once its done!

i had the same problem as camarocorey, it rubbed the housing took the cam reluctor off and tapped the pin all the way in.

I ended up tapping it in a good eighth of a inch or so past the lowest point on the relucter. Should be fine i image, just wanted to make sure. thanks
