Any of you used them for a short block build? Leaning towards their corner as of now if I decide to go with a newly build engine.

Are you local to them? Never used them. You would imagine a typical stroker LT1 short block couldn't be to terribly difficult for a machine shop to build, after all it's a SBC, but apparently some have issues more than others. Depending on what you want, a reputable local builder is often the best way to go.

I have used them multiple times for various items. They have always been extremely helpful, fast and I would recommend them.

I actually live in Indiana, far from them. Ive had some engine work done locally in the past and was so upset i couldnt see straight. Also have like 3 other quotes out for weeks now and not one word back. Local isnt always great unfortunately. Havent heard anything bad about cnc by googling so figured id take the next step and ask on here. Their prices seem in line. 2800 for all forged 396 and 7k for longblock with afr heads. Im checking a lot of places out, and not even sure i wont just buy one from someone, but im a little leary about buying a used engine that has been raced.

I built my le1 355 with good forged pistons, stock rods with arp bolts and stock crank for just about 2500; with the price of the heads and balancing the bottom end.
