Default AC Compressor

My AC appears to be leaking from the compressor on the bottom. All the hoses are dry and where they connect to the compressor are dry . Can the freon leak from the compressor itself. If so can I repair/rebuild the compressor or do I need to get a new one. When filled the AC works great and blows at 40 degrees.

Default

I also have the same problem. I don't really want to have to replace the compressor if I can just rebuild it. I am just curious also. Thanks
