Default 6.5s behind the driver and pass seats

those two speakers blew up when the previous owner had the car and now im going to replace them. but i took off the grill and bother speakers were already removed and so was the wire clip peace all that is there is the male end that has the 4 wires that go into the plastic peace..... is there a way you dont have to use that clip? can i splice them or do you really need it?.....

Those are DVC subs. First check the sticky in this section. After reading that Kee Audio (sponsor) will have lots of options for you. BTW - Best Buy, et al will not be able to offer you the right thing.

The connectors are on the wires for easy assembly at the factory. When you are cranking out cars quickly, the cost of the quick connectors outweighs the labor to do direct connections.

Likewise, its nice to keep the connectors if you can for any future work. (Makes your labor easier.) You can just de-solder your old connectors and then solder them on to the new speakers.
