Default What oil for Eaton rear?

I have an Eaton 10 bolt center section/differential in my car. I had a rear guy put in with a gear because my gear broke. He did not put oil in it. I drove the car for 13 miles. Is it ruined? And what oil should I put in the center section?

Take it back if its a shop and have fixed. If it was under the table... then do it yourself.

I myself use a non synthetic gear oil, factory spec recommondation. Buy a bottle of GM Additive and then drive.

There could be an issue with impropere break in and heat. Depending if there was a coating of oil or non at all. Myself personally I would pull the diff cover if you can't get your guy to fix.
