Default Tire Sensors--Can they cause a car to run faulty?

Looking at buying a supercharged corvette (paxton novi 2000 supercharger)
http://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/cto/2431782061.html

was scheduled to come test drive it today and he calls and said the car is running funny, when the cars builds boost it falls flat and he relates it a faulty tire sensor...?! Since i havent a clue I thought id ask you guys.

I do own an 05 and when my sensor went bad, it would flash but it never caused to car to run poorly.

Any thoughts? The way I see it, it could me a list of problems not just a sensor.

Thanks for any help

Maybe the car cuts power if it thinks you have a flat tire? The runflats can be used, but you are supposed to keep under a certain speed and drive for a maximum distance.

Have him get that fixed. Then drive it. No one is going to buy it the way it is considering the number of things that could be wrong with it. It's a small price to pay for a guy who is trying to sell a car. I say no way till that's taken care of.
