ZR1 Lifters with Ceramic Check Ball?
From a recent Hot Rod article on the latest and greatest in Cam and Lifter technology:
"The limited-production ZR1 Corvettes wind up high using special GM lightweight lifters that substitute a lightweight ceramic check ball in place of the normal steel one. In the aftermarket, Comp Cams has come up with short-travel lifters, which it maintains come closer to the performance of a solid roller than anything else previously available"

Anyone have any other infortmation on these lifters? I've searched here, google, and on the corvette forum to no avail. Can't even find a part number.

They're referring to the GM High Speed aka Cadillac Racing lifters (PN# 88958689). Katech and GM Racing developed them for the first Cadillac CTS-V.R. Although I've never heard of them making it into any production vehicles.
