Default Break In Oil?

Quick question. We are getting closer to starting up the LS1 in my GTO. The engine has 21,000 miles on it but has not been run for two years. Do you think it would be good idea to run break in oil for start up and the first few hundred miles, or just go with synthetic and run it?

Thanks

If you don't have a pressure pot to prime it with, pull the fuses, and spin it over til you get some psi.

Some 10-30 and a new filter. Run it for a while, and dump the oil, cut the filter open.
Have the injectors been cleaned, or stored properly after the engine was removed from the donor car??
2 yrs = nasty gas in them. Could be an issue when starting.

We were planning on pulling the plugs also to prime it.

The engine was just pulled and let sit, in fact there was still some fuel in the fuel rails when I hooked to the new fuel lines. We'll have to look at the injectors too.

Thanks for your thoughts.
