how to replace a bad cat....
As the title implies the cat converter on my 93 Z28 is bad, its very rattly, I get terrible gas millage, not getting any high end power, and the exhaust is cold. So my question is how do you remove the old one and install a new one? There is a magnaflow cat at advance auto parts I'm looking at and if it has the same inlet and outlet size I'll use that one. Do you saw the old one off or is it clamped on?
THanks in advance

The factory cat is welded on. Do you require a cat? If not spend a few extra dollars and get an off-road y-pipe that bolts to the factory manifolds. Or put a set of headers.

Really? Both my cats were welded on both ends in the middle of the y pipe.
