since i spun a rod in my ls1 im considering a iron block 427 stroker from AES... Only thing that concerns me is the bore... just looking for opinions on this setup and the power i should expect with my current top end. Probably will be going with a bigger cam and maybe a fast 92 ($$$).. OR... would i be better off selling my ported heads and ls6 INTAKE and going with a ls3 topend for not much more money?

basically i want atleast 500 RELIABLE rwhp and a bunch of torque... Would love 550 rwhp though... lol any recommendations welcomed! if i could get the 550 rwhp all motor bye bye nitrous...

I would NOT go ls3/l92 topend. I did and it made great power. but i switched to trick flow 235 heads on my 402ci and gained 20hp 15tq over the cnc ported ls3 topend with lowering my compression a little..

wow! this is good to no, what cnc ls3 heads did u have? been thinking bout going with the l92/ l76 combo.

I am just trying to learn here, but why would the LS6 heads make more power on a 4 inch bore than the LS3 heads which were made for the 4 inch bore.
