Default Gear swap effect on et ?

I am always seeing talk about how much they gained or how they stayed the same after gear swaps. What I am wondering is effect on a stalled auto ....? Same results ? or Better ? So what kind of gain would a stalled auto see going from 2.73 to 3.42 ? Etc

2.73 w/3500 to 3.42 w/3500,I'm GUESSING a .3 sec ET gain.
If you have the suspension and tires for traction.

trap speed change is more dependent on horsepower and not on 'torque mutiplication' of gearing.
