resonators
I have a 2008 Impala SS.Are the resonators the last mufflers at the rear of the car attached to the tips? What does the car sound like without them?My car has the SS stock mufflers and I want more sound.I had an "08" Mustang GT and with stock mufflers it had a lot of V8 sound even just idling. Why is the SS so quiet with stock mufflers.Just bought the car a month ago and want more life to it.Thanks

The reason it is quiet is because not everyone who buys that car is going to want it to be loud from the factory. Allot of vehicles are like that, look at the corvettes, they are whisper quiet from the factory. I would definitely remove the resonators, it doesn’t matter what state you are in it isn't illegal to remove resonators.

I would take them off even if your state doesn't allow. That's just me though. I'm running a SLP set up long tubes with loudmouth ll mufflers on my car with the cats cut off . Loud as hell and I love it
