percy split locks
i am doing long tube header install, and 1 stock bolt broke off.
has anyone used these? if so how many heat cycles did it take to make sure they dont backout? thanks for any advice on these.

I put them in then within a day I had lost 4. I had bought the mustang kit which gave me some spares and had to buy more set screws and used locktite on all the set screws.
If I had it to do over again I would use a different system. I don't want to think what they are going to be like to get out.

ARP header studs have never backed out on me. Also you can look into the stage 8 stuff. They have a clip that will not allow them to back out.

id use the stage 8 , ive never liked the idea of the splits , only takes 1 lapse in memory and youve ruined your head trying to get the bolt out while its spread wide open
ive always used the stock bolts , or the stock studs , never had 1 break in a LS motor , but LT's and old schools i have
