Stock flywheel or ram flywheel??
I am about to do a clutch swap with a Ram HD my stock one is on its last leg.. Car only has 50k on it 02 z06. Im trying to get all my parts together bf i tear it down now im going to replace the pilot bering and im not sure if i want to mess with the slave. Should i buy a new flywheel? Stock or Ram? And the drill mod is that something i should really do? I want to do it right but i am kindda on a budget being that i just bought it..? I really need some good input on this. Thanx for reading..

I'd replace the flywheel, you can get either Rams or mind and you'll be good.
I would also replace the slave cylinder while you're in there, the slave is a big PITA to get to and you're already doing the clutch so you'll be there.
Here's a link to my new site where you can buy these products, let me know if you have any other questions.

And our misc parts section in case you want to browse it and see if you want anything else we offer.

If the disc you're using has ceramic/metallic material facing the flywheel, then it's a must to upgrade to a billet fly. The reason for doing this is to handle the added heat of the HD friction material. Not all billet flywheels are equal. I prefer the chromoly ones as they handle heat like nothing else (in a good way ) Otherwise, if its just a carbon/kevlar style facing, the stock cast iron flywheel will be ok, just get it resurfaced. Hope this sheds some light. If you haven't already purchased a flywheel, I have a re-surfaced carbon/nickel billet flywheel (25lb) from SPEC that I'd take $150 for. Otherwise a brand new billet one is $230. Info is in my sig.
