When up to Gainesville Sat and did a few laps on the road track by the drag strip. The track is owned by the drag strip people and the Club rents it for a day for test and tune or time attack events. It's a short course, 24" wide with lots of grass run off area so nothing to hit and mess up the car if you go off. Check out, http://gvilleroadrace.com/

It's a fun little track and I've run with that group before with good results. It's brutal on tires and I corded a set of slightly used rear Hoosier R6's in a day. Had fun doing it though.

I've run Sebring a bunch of times but had never run the short course until Sunday. The SCCA put on what they call a PDX, performance driving experience, and it was a lot of fun. I would do it again for sure.
