Are these heads right for my 383?
I'm on the prowl for some cylinder heads, so I stopped in a local head porting shop http://www.speierracingheads.com/ to ask what heads would be right for my setup. We got to talking and he shot me a pretty good deal on some nasty lt1 heads he's going to start carrying. BUT I think these might be a little extreme for my setup, and I have a few questions.
These monsters have a 2.100" intake valve, will this cause clearence issues with my setup? (11:1 383, 230/236 .570/.576 lift)
With a 227cc intake runner, is this a little overkill on a 4.030 bore?
I know the guy pretty well, and he does some top notch work. I have no doubt these heads will make power, but are these a little extreme for my street/strip setup?

Yeah, he's pretty reputable, and I made it clear that I don't want something that's going to be completely race only. As for RPM, I would like to stay at 6500 since my cam stops making power there. He says these heads would be right up my alley, but I'm a lil worried they might be more than I need. I post pictures as soon as he's done with them and see what everyone thinks.
