Default Possible Differential play?

My camaro is having a problem with the rear end. If i am at a stand stil and hit the gas quickly the car starts to move and hen CLUNK! It drives fine without aggressive driving and the seals on the rear axle are leaking. I had 2 mechanics look at the car, one said bad differential and the other said bad control arm bearing. What do you guys think?

The majority of rearend clunks come from the axles where the splined ends fit into each side of the diff. The looser or more worn the splines, the more the clunking. Poly bushings in LCAs or torque arm will amplify the clunking and noises. Likely nothing is bad, just normal stuff from a performance car with miles. Its not a sloppy ring and pinion becasue if it were, the gears would be screaming. Might also check the drive shaft u-joints but if they were bad, it would make constant noise. Dont always trust what the mechanics say.
