I have been accumulating pieces for an iron block based 408 for awhile now and I have come to the realization that I no longer have the time to build this motor and there are no competent machine shops in my area that I would trust the block work to. I have also had a come-to-Jesus revelation that I would just like to drive my '72 more and not race it.

With that being said I would like to trade all or parts of the following for a new or low mileage crate motor, longblock or shortblock of the LS2, LY6, LS3 or L92 variety:

New items:

1. 4340 Eagle crank, 4 inch stroke
2. 4340 Eagle H-beam rods, 6.125"
3. Manley forged pistons for above crank and rods and 4.030 bore
4. Clevite rod bearings
5. LS3 heads complete with rockers and stands
6. Caddy race lifters
7. LS2 timing chain set
8. MSD 6010
9. GM L92 single plane intake
10. Complete gasket set

Used items:

1. '99 or '00 6.0 iron block standard bore
2. Stock front and rear covers and valve covers
3. Aftermarket valley cover, no holes
4. ARP head bolts for above block
5. ARP main studs
6. Melling oil pump

I'm sure there are other items to that I am forgetting and I'll go down to my garage tomorrow to take a look.

For the right deal cash can go either way, but I am not looking for a $10k motor so don't waste your time. If your motor needs a rebuild, I already have one of those and am not interested. I may also have to keep various parts depending on the state of completion of the motor.

If no one wants to trade but will sell a motor I'm interested in than I will put prices on the above and sell everything that I will not use.
