Default Re mapped

Just bought a 2000 trans am ls1, has cold air and slp exhaust, would it be worth me sending the ecu out and getting it re maped? Thanks

It is definitely worth it in every situation really. Stock or modded. If it is sent to the right people, then you will notice a difference in every aspect of the car that the ECU effects.

If it is your only car, a few options are to either
1) get another PCM and send it to get flashed, then swap out
2) get a base model tuining software and then you can operate via email tuning to help your car improve the best for your climate and area.

I prefer the second method as just getting a tune on your computer will help it out immensely, but every car is different and the way your environment acts on it is different as well. Being able to scan with a known good software that will give the tuner everything he needs to complete the job is the best way of getting the most out of your car that you possibly can and still have the ability to change it back to stock should you sell it with minimal effort. For alot of people, this is also a very good learning experience as well.

Yeah I've been looking at frost, I think I will, I've only gotten to drive my car a couple times because my cluch won't disengage any more I think my slave went
