Sounds like Exhaust leak under load. But can't find one?
I need a little help here. I think this problem maybe from the cheap Pacesetter header's I have on the car. They have been on for about 4 years now and haven't had any problems with them. But ever since i've put them on when I accelerate at a normal pace it sounds like I have an exhaust leak. During idle I don't hear this noise I do have lifter tap a little bit no biggie there. But I'm wondering if maybe the lifter tap is causing this noise as I go under load or what. Doesn't matter if the car's hot or cold it does it and I have gone through 2 ORY's and now run a Catted Y but it still sounds the same so I don't think it's that. Could it just be the header's themselves causing it? I am debating on upgrading to kook's or TSP header's if it will fix the problem. I have also changed the exhaust gasket twice and both time's have not had any bad burns or any exhaust residue on the block from a bad gasket. I thought maybe it could be a warped header flange or something. Any advice?

I had hat EXACT sound under load. I did the same as you did looking for it but I never found it. Long story short, I ended up finally tracking the noise down to both the power steering pulley & the Compressor pulley.
I greased them & have no more ticking under load.

I've done seafoam many time's and have never had any issues with exhaust leak. I replaced my power steering pulley 3 months ago and I don't run AC so no compressor pulley. It sounds like a drive an old farm truck when I accelerate normally. I've gotten to many tickets from burning tires out of the hole so I sound better accelerating.

Lol we've got some miscommunication here, I'm not saying that seafoam causes a leak, i mean that i've heard of some people using seafoam as a leak detector by looking for white smoke around the whole exhaust system to track down a leak lol
