Just picked up an 01 SS
Registered here years ago when I had my 04 Goat, but drifted on to other sites and other cars for awhile. Well, I'm back and pretty much a new guy to the site and just wanted to re-introduce myself and my "new" Camaro. My name is Trey and I live in Raleigh, so if anyone in the area goes to Benson or Fayetteville to run, let me know. The car is a 2001 SS Camaro, automatic, 10,500 miles on it, black on black, and all stock except for the SLP lid that was on it when I got her. I've modded a couple LS1s in the past, so I'm fairly familiar with bolt on mods, pros and cons to those mods, etc. The only mods I plan on at the moment are a dyno tune and possibly a cat-back.

She wasn't exactly cheap. Ran me about $16k, but it is seriously flawless with the exception of some spotty rust on the stock exhaust. Most LS1 SS in my area with less than 15k miles are going for well over $20k on average.

Last September i picked up my SS for 16.5k. Same miles on her at 10,500. I wasn't planning on paying that much for my first f-body but i remembered everywhere else the same cars were going for 20 plus. Funny we were in the same situation. With very similar cars. Good luck.

Personally think that's a very fair price. Having a built tranny to back up those bolt-ons is a huge plus IMO. It may take awhile to sale simply due to the nature of things right now, but I don't see you having any issues getting your asking price. Good luck!

Haha, what's up man! I'm located on Tryon Road near RGA golf course, between the course and Wilmington street. Its a fairly new development, I'm in one of the townhouses. What part of Raleigh are you from?

congrats on the amazing find bro, black is beautiful hah. I know you stated just a tune and catback which will definitely open that car up, but do you have any other plans in terms of performance or rims etc...
