Default Catalytic Converter placement on ORY

ok so i am going to be purchasing some low profile cats that are 3" opening 4" body and 3" exit. all i am getting these for is kill the rasp and make it smell better. what is the ideal place to place these. i have QTP long tubes and their ORY. should i put it in the y or just one in the i pipe? this is not for emissions purposes, just for the rasp and smell.

The best place is right after the headers, because the higher exhaust gas temperatures allow the Catalytic Converters to work more efficiently.
