Hey guys what do you think of my set up? I just feel like the car runs out of gear and can not stay in its powerband long enough. Its like a big turbo honda lol.

PRC ported 2.5 LS6 Heads
232/236 114 lsa cam
LS6 Intake and ported TB

Did you just get the gears? I know most A4 guys go with a 3.73 but some guys like BOLO love 4.10s with the auto. From all that I have read LS engines with their higher powerbands really respond well to gears.
I just put my 4.10s in this spring and have been having the same thoughts as you. The car runs though the gears faster than with the 3.42s but there seems to be less feeling of acceleration, but this is really not the case. I have not been back to the track since the gear install to compare times though. This past weekend I took my brother, whose hobby is drag racing for a ride and also let him drive the car and he thought the gears were a perfect match for the car. I would bet if you went to the track you would be pleased with the results with your gear.

Here's a link to a excellent discussion about gears, acceleration and drag racing I found on another forum. I found spinmonster's thoughts very interesting.

*UPDATE* Went to the track Aug 10 and improved my 60' time .2 to 2.041 on street tires. I was pretty happy, the 4.10s worked good for me.
