Default What crossmember for 4l60e in a second gen?

Just like the title says what cross member works with a 4l60e, its going into my 1980 Trans Am, it will be behind an LS1 of course on Car Shop's 1in setback plates. Any help is appreciated.

IIRC most were just modifying their existing cross over. There are aftermarket ones available

Jakes Performance perhaps

Performance Transmission Center has them pre-made. (Raptor X)

If you find one you like keep us posted, I'll be looking for one for mine here soon.

Use the one in the car. Move the crossmember back 1 bolt hole and redrill for the rear bolt. I was running the 700-r4(same size) with a Procharged SBC with only one bolt on each side and never had a problem. Mocked up everything and forgot about the two rear bolts. Also, may have to slot the mounting pad on the crossmember for the tranny mount bolt. Depending on how far the motor is moved back, you might need to extend the pad by welding on a longer plate. Hope this helps.
